These photos are from the last 5 years and span across the locations of California, Europe and Taiwan. These particular shots don’t fit in any particular collection, but I felt they merited being shared. In my photography, I aspire to capture that “lightning in a bottle”, even if it’s just a small spark. Sometimes I succeed. Most of the time I fail. In 1,000 photos I take, there may be 20 photos that contain the magic. The other 980 photos that don’t make the cut, they turn into opportunities for nurturing patience and learning. In creating this kind of work, the most important thing is the first step, which is to consistently “show up” to be present and available for the fleeting, magical moments when they appear.
